Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated October 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Echoes for use of the Echoes app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. If you use the iOS app, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms take precedence where they differ to the extent permitted.
1. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Echoes. You are responsible for activity on your account. Echoes is not offered in certain countries and regions; you may not use it where it isn't offered or where use would violate sanctions or export-control laws.
2. Your content
You own what you write and record. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display your content solely to operate Echoes for you, including showing notes you choose to share to other users. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept briefly in backups or where we must retain records to investigate abuse.
3. Community rules (zero tolerance)
Echoes has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. When you share a note, you agree not to post anything that:
- harasses, threatens, bullies or intimidates anyone;
- promotes hate or discrimination against a person or group;
- is sexually explicit, or sexualises or endangers minors in any way;
- depicts, promotes or threatens violence, or encourages self-harm;
- is spam, advertising, solicitation, or tries to move people off Echoes;
- shares anyone's private contact details or personal information;
- infringes someone else's rights or breaks the law.
Shared content is screened automatically before others see it. Every shared note can be reported, and you can block the person who wrote it. We review reports, act on clearly harmful content immediately, and remove content or ban accounts that break these rules, generally within 24 hours of a report.
4. Subscriptions
Echoes Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
5. The assistant
“Ask your notes” answers using only your own notes and may still be incomplete or wrong. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which permanently erases your content. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put others at risk.
7. Disclaimers and liability
Echoes is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
8. Apple-specific terms
These terms are between you and Echoes, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.
9. Changes and contact
We'll notify you in the app before material changes take effect. Questions, reports or appeals: li_ze_bang@163.com or our contact form.
